Untitled Job

Start

Create a job to set the material size, thickness and origin, then draw or import artwork and add toolpaths.

  • Draw with the Create Vectors tools, or Import SVG, DXF, bitmap, STL or OBJ files.
  • Select vectors, then choose an operation under Toolpaths to calculate a cut.
  • Preview the material removal in 3D, check the job, then save G-code for your controller.

Construction guide

Drag from a ruler to add a guide. Right-click a guide to edit it. Ctrl-drag an unlocked guide with Select to copy it.

Snap options

Snap targets

Arrow keys move selected objects or nodes by one grid step. Ctrl reduces the step; Shift increases it. Ctrl+Shift uses the fixed distance.

A smaller radius helps choose between nearby vectors. Grid spacing also controls arrow-key nudging. Zero spacing hides the grid.

Import 3D Relief

Images become grayscale heightfields. STL/OBJ meshes are projected along the selected source axis into a machinable 2.5D relief. Automatic chooses the model's thinnest dimension.

Create Shape from Selected Vectors

Rail Sweep / Moulding Component

Sweep one open cross-section along a centred rail or proportionally between two drive rails.

Rail directions are aligned automatically. Optional middle/end sections blend continuously along the rails. Reverse a source vector first when deliberate twisting is required.

Procedural Woven Component

Generate alternating over-under crowned strands inside selected closed vectors, or across the central stock area.

Repeat Relief Assembly

Select Tool

Choosing a different tool loads its feed, plunge, spindle and pass-depth defaults. You can then edit these for this operation.

Tool geometry

Used by T and H commands. Match your machine's tool table.

Cutting defaults

Tool operating limits
Tool and holder dimensions
Assembled cutter

Used by machining collision checks. Measure the assembled cutter before marking these dimensions as checked.

Fixtures & Keep-out Zones

Snapshot clamp footprints into the job, add tool clearance, and keep every fixture-aware operation out of harm's way.

Placement assistant

Rank stock-edge clamp positions against calculated cutting motion, artwork, and existing keep-outs.

Run the assistant to preview ranked positions on the 2D job.

V-Inlay Pocket + Plug

Creates a female pocket, a mirrored plug with its own boundary, a stepped clearance pass, and the matching plug V-carve.

Both halves use the same V-bit. Plug start depth is derived as pocket depth minus glue gap; the clearance tool removes that material in safe depth passes first.

Text

Bundled font

Letter gap adjustments

Click between characters in the text above, or step between gaps. Positive adjustments open the gap; negative adjustments close it.

Added to the font's normal kerning and overall letter spacing. Adjustments scale with font size; box and curve fitting can scale them further.

Individual line spacing

Changes this baseline gap and moves following lines together. Reset uses the overall Line spacing value.

Position

The cross marks the reference. Outline references use the rotated lettering bounds. Changing reference keeps the lettering in place; size and content edits keep its X/Y fixed.

Save Toolpath

Toolpaths run in the order shown. Keep roughing and preceding finishes before their dependent finishing passes. Tool-change instructions follow the selected post-processor.

Three-Axis Machine Profiles

Store travel, feed limits and post-processor settings for ordinary X/Y/Z routers and mills.

Slice Model

Divide the visible relief into horizontal layers for separate machining and assembly. Each slice has a flat underside.

Slicing mm

Uses the current projected relief. Grid spacing limits fine edges and holes; this does not segment undersides or undercuts.

Slices retain the model's X/Y position. Their tops align with the material top. Show one slice at a time and set the blank thickness before calculating its toolpath.

SliceBottomTopThickness

Create Cross-section Vector

Extract the visible model surface along a straight line. Profiles use the current relief resolution and exclude underside geometry.

Section line mm

Smaller intervals resolve finer surface changes.

3D Modelling Tools

Import an STL or OBJ model, or build a solid from vectors, position it on the material block, then create 3D roughing and finishing toolpaths.

3D machining

Advanced model detail

Use Model detail in Modelling for Standard, Detailed and Very detailed. More samples preserve finer features; they cannot recover detail lost on import.

Roughing clears the bulk of the stock in layers with a flat cutter. Finishing follows the surface with a ball nose. Each opens its own settings, and either can be recalculated on its own.

Trace Bitmap

Convert dark artwork into closed CNC vectors without uploading the image.

Create vector boundary

Outside outlines omit letter holes and merge overlaps. Rubber band makes one enclosing outline across the gaps.

Scroll to zoom · Drag to pan · Double-click to fit

New vectors go on the active layer. Original lettering and artwork stay unchanged. Open strokes need a positive offset, or a rubber band that encloses an area.

Fit curves to vectors

Reduce nodes or change curve types within a measured tolerance.

Grey: original · Blue: fitted

Scroll to zoom · Drag to pan · Double-click to fit

Grey: original · Blue: fitted preview

Clear to keep originals and add fitted copies on the active layer. Editable text must be converted to curves first.

Join open vectors

Connect selected open endpoints within the chosen tolerance. Review the result before applying.

Select vectors

Filter artwork, check the highlighted result, then apply the selection.

Imported compound paths and text stay together as complete objects. Cancel restores your previous selection.
